28th Annual Festival of Trees November 26 & 27 | Fri. 9am-8pm, Sat 9am-5pm Location: Emmanuel Episcopal Church The Members of the Soroptimist International of Kent County are pleased to announce the 28th annual Festival of Trees will be held on November 26th and 27th at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Hall, High and Cross Streets in Chestertown, MD. Festival hours are from 9am to 8pm on Friday with the tree lighting at 10am and 9am to 5pm on Saturday. Local businesses and organizations will offer trees on display reflecting themes of special interest. Festival visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite trees with prizes being awarded to those receiving the top three highest votes. Children’s trees will judged and awarded separately. In addition to the trees, patrons may purchase a poinsettia to honor a loved one. Patron poinsettias will be on display with the honorees name in a tree formation. This year Members will be offering hand made wreaths for sale at the hall. Wreaths will be made under the direction of Mary Johnson, Eagle Hill Florist and are sure to be a lovely addition to your holiday decorating theme. President Linda Waal encourages businesses, civic groups and volunteer organizations to consider decorating a tree this year.
